What does PowerGrant do?

PowerGrant drafts grant proposals using your organization’s real history, real numbers, and real voice. You upload past grants, financials, and program descriptions; PowerGrant builds a verified knowledge base; the AI then writes section-by-section drafts grounded in what you’ve already told it.

How is this different from ChatGPT?

ChatGPT writes from its general training data and will confidently invent funder names, programs, and outcomes that don’t exist. PowerGrant writes only from facts you’ve verified, and asks you when it doesn’t know. The product is built around the constraint, not in spite of it.

Will the AI use my real numbers, or just plausible-sounding ones?

Real ones. Your knowledge base is the source of truth. When the AI needs a metric or outcome it can’t find there, it asks before it guesses. You won’t be surprised by a hallucinated statistic in front of your funder.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Your knowledge base is yours. You can export it any time, in standard formats. We are not the kind of platform that holds your content hostage.

Does it work for federal, state, and foundation grants?

Yes — the underlying mechanics are the same across funder types. Your knowledge base feeds drafts for any application format. Boilerplate sections (mission, history, financials) come from your verified facts; question-specific responses are drafted against your knowledge base.

Trust + privacy

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Your knowledge base, your drafts, and your grant content are never used to train any AI model — ours or anyone else’s. We use commercial AI APIs configured to exclude training; your content is yours.

Who can see my grant data?

Only you and the team members you invite. Each PowerGrant organization is isolated. No one outside your org — including PowerGrant employees — has access in the normal course of operation.

Where is my data stored?

On managed cloud infrastructure in the United States, encrypted at rest and in transit. We use Supabase (Postgres) for primary data and Google Cloud for compute.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

You keep access for the remainder of your billing period and can export your knowledge base at any time. After cancellation we retain your data for 30 days in case you come back, then delete it on request.

Billing

How much does it cost?

$149 per month, or $1,490 per year (a $298 annual discount). One simple price. No hidden tiers, no per-seat pricing, no per-application fees.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — 14 days, no credit card required. You can build your knowledge base, draft a real proposal, and see whether PowerGrant fits your workflow before you pay anything.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. One click in your account settings. You keep access through the end of your billing period; we don’t prorate, but we also don’t add cancellation friction.

Do you offer nonprofit discounts?

The price is already a nonprofit price. We built PowerGrant for nonprofit grant writers; the $149 / mo rate isn’t a discounted version of an enterprise SKU. There’s no separate "nonprofit tier" because the whole product is a nonprofit tier.
